The Eleventh Volume

Dont quote me on that. Quote Unquote. And you can Quote me on the Quote Unquote.

I Know What Youre Thinking:

  1. Mark, What the good God do these photos have to with the title.
  2. Why the fuck were you at a skatepark.
  3. Nice shirt on the biker in the first photo.
And I can answer it all.

but first...

REWIND.

All right. So it all started...
(uhhh...)

Well. fuck that, I dont know when it started. But it sucks.
Im talking about all the bad vibe and hate going on. Don't pretend you don't know what im talking about.
If you don't know what im talking about, then you're probably one of the people making me write this.

No offense to those with the problems, but once you make your point, its not a valid point for every day of the next month. And you definitely dont need to remind us of how fucked your life is every 10 seconds.

We get it. Life's a bitch. DEAL WITH IT. We've all got problems. But reminding everyone around you and becoming one to others doesn't help anybody. I can have more fun listening to Justin Bieber.

So Wait.

What the fuck does that have to do with the photos?

Good question, and I'm glad you asked.

I always regret not having learnt to Skateboard or BMX sooner. I love the idea of having such freedom of movement. The scene is amazing though. Everyone is just so chilled out. You can show up and not know anybody, and be socializing with someone within half an hour. Their biggest worries are people who buy from West49 because it's a cheap store. It would be awesome to have not a care in the world.

also, to answer the second question:
I was at the skatepark cuz i was dragged along for a Harvest Festival.
Stupid thing. i dont even wanna detail you the useless failure.

Back to awesome. Third point: Nice shirt.

No really. its a valid point. just hang on.

Function over Fashion.
You can see in the photos nobodys really dressed great.
Even the guy in the background of the second photo. High socks for a cold day. nothing better.
Or the green sweater on the second photo. Obviously its not a fashionable thing. But its comfortable and perfect for the day.

Its no doubt skate culture has influenced mainstream culture. I just wish I was part of it a bit more.
